Approval of PfP as a political action committee is pending by the state. In an earlier interview, President Pam Kloeppel said the group will support candidates for local elections, not for state or Congressional elections.

In the November, 2016, Portsmouth voters will decide if Mayor Kenny Wright and three City Council members will sit for another four years.

Voters will also have a chance to decide the fate of four school board positions and the position of the Commonwealth's Attorney.
